We're on a journey down the yellow brick road and we hope you'll come along! To incorporate more STEM-based lessons into our existing curriculum, we are asking the Great Wizard of Oz(obot) for help. Ozobots are tiny robots used to help kids learn to code. They can be coded either on a digital device like our chromebooks, or on paper, thus allowing us great flexibility and differentiation! Ozobots are simple enough for our kindergarteners, yet challenging enough for our 6th graders. Having a class set of 20 Ozobots would allow each student a chance to create code while working at their own pace. Students would be able to program their Ozobot to find rhyming words, animal families, biome characteristics, math facts, shape perimeter, story elements, historical timelines and more! The possibilities are endless with this little wonder! Our teachers are always willing and excited to learn new things to motivate our students...and this would definitely do the trick!
