HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Objective-C- these are not typical language topics taught in a high school math class. My students have worked incredibly hard this year not only to master the grade level content, but also to learn the skills required for STEM careers. They have dedicated time before, during, and after school to learning computer science skills, and now they are ready to apply the skills they have learned in a really cool way, developing iOS applications. I teach 9th grade students Algebra I and Algebra II and my programming class contains a mix of students ranging from 9th to 12th grade. My students are fascinated by careers in computer science and engineering, and are driven to create above and beyond what's expected of them in the classroom. They are currently learning to program iOS applications on a modified computer that can run XCode, but do not have any physical way of testing out the use of their a
