The students that I serve are unbelievably smart, creative, and full of untapped potential. They are driven with passion, desire, and a sense of right and wrong. My desires, as I cultivate their growth, are to help them see a glimpse of that potential and with gentle prodding, guide those passions and desires in the direction that would help them become successful members of our society. If I can get them to believe in themselves, then I have succeeded as their educator. Our school is an inner city, high poverty, Title I school with most of the students on free/reduced lunch and the majority of the Special Ed. students from our district. We also have a boys and girls club that many of our students attend after school.
