My "kbabies", as I like to call them, are my pride and joy. Each year, good days and bad days, these kids are mine. This year I have 16 students (small class, I know) 11 bouncing boys and only 5 sweet girls. My school is located in a very small town and has an 82% poverty rate. Some of our students look forward to coming to school because they will know where their next meal is coming from. Sometimes a hug from us is the only hug they will get that day. THAT is why I stay at this school and why I love going to work each and every day. My students are only in kindergarten and we talk every single day about what goals we have, what we want to be when we grow up, and how you NEVER give up on your goals no matter how big they may seem to their small little minds. Nothing is impossible. I hope to instill this in them, make them believe that with a little effort and a positive attitude anything they set out to achieve is possible.
