My school is a small, rural, elementary school that strives to promote literacy in all subject areas. We focus a great deal on each students' reading growth and comprehension skills. In my class, each student knows his/her reading level and strives to be a better reader by rereading text, answering comprehension questions, writing summaries about the text, and using computer programs for additional practice.
