The use of Chromebooks is almost a daily activity in my classroom. You can just imagine how a crowded classroom of students chatting away while using their Chromebooks can easily become social hour. I would like for my scholars to be able to independently focus on their tasks of working while using their chromebooks with headphones. Often times, I walk around the classroom to observe students and offer assistance while they are on their Chromebooks and notice students who are struggling to focus because they can hear the volume from other students. Like many districts, Literacy and Math are critical content areas for students to master and so we utilize computers as a supplement during our center time where our students can work on content that is specific to their individual learning. The headphones would be an opportunity for the students to concentrate and focus on their content without distraction.
