I have a great group of approximately 100 students who want more out of life. They are considered "middle of the road" students in a high poverty urban area. Although they face many challenges living in a high poverty area, these students know the importance of an education and have set goals to attend a four year institution. In order to reach these goals, these students must raise the bar and take advanced classes. They are expected to be accountable for their learning. They are taught college writing, note taking, and organization skills that will help them in succeed in college. Many are hoping to be a role model in the community and plan to help adolescents in their careers after graduation.

About my class
