One area my students struggle the most with is writing in their new language. Writing is usually the last skill students become proficient with when learning a new language. I'm requesting 1 Elmo machine so that we can look at writing samples together as a group on the electronic board. We can revise and rewrite samples as we move from writing words to sentences to paragraphs to essays. In my classroom, we practice writing daily using cooperative learning strategies. The addition of technology would give my students a much needed boost of practice in the area of writing Students who are confident in their writing abilities will be ready to face the challenges of higher education and the workplace.
