My school has a high percentage of Native American students and approximately a 60% free and reduced lunch population. The school is in a rural area and many students do not get to experience opportunities that more highly populated areas offer. The band program at our school offers these students some of those opportunities by exposing them to an eclectic mix of musical styles from a variety of cultures. The band program was just reinstated this year after two years of being shut down. By supporting my projects you will help the band to get a strong start by providing some instruments and supplies that are needed to repair and round-out or tools for music making.
