All children love to explore new ideas and inventions. Time for Kids provides an excellent resource for both teachers and students. Students each receive a paper copy of the latest issue of the magazine, and teachers receive access to additional resources to expand upon these topics. I have used Time for Kids in the past to provide students with background information about topics such as climate change, the Syrian Civil War, and the 2016 presidential election.My students last year loved reading about endangered species in the African rain forests; and an article about the hottest tech gear of 2016 inspired them to do more research into developing technologies! When students have access to reliable journalism in topics that interest them, their eyes are opened to a world of possibilities.
