Students with the aid of the press and plates will have an opportunity to create monoprints and embossing. Students will use watercolors and inks to paint images on the plates. Through the process of transfer they will the opportunity to understand the process of reproducing an image multiple times. The press has multiple uses such as embossing: a process that works by adding materials such as leafs, feathers, coins, etc, to the paper. By running them through the press they will reproduce what they added to the plate. This is a great tool to incorporate other subject areas such as science and social studies.
