Welcome to my second grade classroom where my hard working students work very hard every day to become life long learners. My students come from an urban, low income school where many of them struggle with reading. They do not have books at home to read for fun, or they see the same, worn out books over and over again. At such a young and impressionable age, I want to get new books and supplies to motivate and excite my students about reading. Responding to the books with writing is also another goal I have for my students.
