We are a very small district which houses P-12 in one building. We are the only school for the entire county! Our community is extremely rural and our free and reduced lunch is above 74% for the current year. Many of our parents have a difficult time helping their children at home because they did not complete their own education or pursue higher education. We have no industry in our community, so parents must travel quite a distance for employment and work, plus we have very little tax base. The manipulatives not only help my students, but often times, I am able to help parents better understand a concept by teaching them with manipulatives as well!
