One of my teaching goals is to create a classroom learning environment that reaches the tech savvy 21st century learners of today. I am requesting Chromebooks for my classroom to enhance my students' learning by increasing their availability to technology. Additional Chromebooks in my classroom will enhance my students' access to technology, allowing them to increase their literacy skills through interactions with online primary sources and videos and further their knowledge of United States history. My students have become proficient at using Google Classroom to search for information, create presentations, and collaborate with other students to complete multi-disciplinary projects that use Google Classroom as the medium to research real-world problems related to our study of United States history. My students love using technology in their everyday school lives. Some of them only have access to technology while they are at school. Having more technology available for them will help ensure their success in a world where technology is and will be the norm.
