We are the Webster Wise Owls, hailing from San Diego, California. Our school is a title one school--Servicing 100% of our students with breakfast & lunch daily. My kids are energetic, funny, kind, motivated children who show perseverance through even the most difficult tasks I ask of them. They have proudly earned themselves titles such as "author," "mathematician," "researcher," and "friend." They ask, "Are you OK?" when another kid trips and falls on the playground. They dream. Big. They're full of wonder. They ask what seems like a thousand questions a day. They don't know how to tie their shoes quite yet, but they do understand the importance of kindness and respect for each other, their school, their families, and their communities. They are culturally diverse. I am laughing constantly at the things that come out of their mouths! First grade is the most magical grade to teach.
