High school chemistry students are very diverse. They are typically sophomores and juniors, but some freshman and seniors find their way to our class each year. We have students that come from financially comfortable backgrounds, and others from families that are struggling to feed and clothe themselves regularly. Some students have few responsibilities outside of their schoolwork, while others are the primary care-giver for younger siblings. The most impressive quality that these diverse students share is their desire to succeed at an academically challenging course that is not required for graduation, but is required to be eligible for a 4-year college or university.

About my class
