Scholastic Super Science Magazine will make science accessible and bring it to life for my mild/moderate students! Each issue includes read-aloud stories, activities for deeper understanding, and hands on experiments that help excite and motivate students. They include technology components, where students can easily and safely learn more about topics of interest through videos, additional articles, and games. Through these magazines, Science becomes more accessible, through real life, relevant and rigorous materials and helping special education students feel more engaged. Super Science magazine will provide my students with 9 months of incredible life, earth, and physical science topics that will engage, inspire, and excite all year long! Each monthly issue is jammed packed with high-interest, relevant non-fiction topics that extend learning with real-life current events. Students are more likely to access and participate in learning when information is real, relevant, meaningful, and engaging. Scholastic Super Science Magazines will do just that! Through the stories, students will gain necessary literacy skills, to assist them in becoming knowledgeable and more confident students. They will see current science and engineering events and understand how they directly relate to the world around them. Through the hands on activities, they will get a taste of what it feels like to be a scientist or engineer. They will get to practice their math skills as they carry out and log experiments. Super Science Magazines will be an invaluable part of students becoming fascinated with science and understanding how it directly applies to them and the world they live in!
