Resources for hands-on exploration and play that encourage STEAM (science, technology, engineering, art, math) are crucial for students at this early developmental stage. We have a "free explore" time every single day and my kindergarten class does not have enough tools, toys, and learning resources to help us develop critical 21st-century skills. I have chosen materials that students will use in tactile and engaging ways, largely building or working with fine motor skills. Luckily for me, this is also an important part of social and behavioral learning as students work together to build, design, and create every single day. These will provide so many academic and social opportunities for us to become the leaders of tomorrow!
