As the music teacher, I have the honor of working with every student at my school. We are a Title I/Low Income school district, so my students are faced with several challenges both in and out of the classroom. Despite the many challenges they face, I aim to keep things fun and inclusive, providing them with creative and meaningful learning experiences. While I may not be able to control their home lives, I can certainly control their experience during the school day. My goal is to bridge cultural gaps and celebrate differences through music, which will in turn improve attendance and overall student growth. By doing this in a creative and positive way, I am hopeful to inspire even our earliest learners to continue on a path of success.
