My Green Team students are an exciting crew who have a common interest in science and the environment. The team is ambassadors for our school's sustainability program and environmental leaders to our Pre-K and Kindergarten students who are beginning their learning of the environment and scientific inquiry. They are the grassroots developers of the outdoor learning garden in our school's courtyard. They have designed the courtyard to be an organic Virginia native plant haven for the students in our school of all grade levels use as an outdoor classroom. The work we do together builds relationships, grows schoolwide knowledge and participation of conservation, extends creative engineering and expansion of new green methods. Along the way expanding our school's emerging green program. We celebrate little organic green wins together each day.
