Many of my students speak a second language. They come from a low socioeconomic neighborhood. My school has a statistic for free lunch. All of my students need constant remediation and practice. Building a "can do" atmosphere is important to me as a teacher. I want all of my students to believe in themselves. Using whiteboards for group work helps take the fear out of being wrong.
