My students entered my room significantly under grade level with low self-esteem. By the end of the year I want all of my students to leave my classroom with a strong foundation to build upon academically and personally for years to come. My biggest challenge in my classroom currently is the lack of supplies and language barriers. It is difficult to explore different topics or even review student work without having the proper tools available. About 3/4 of my students each year are ELLs (English Language Learners). They need all and any visual cues to help them understand academic content. I am on a mission to get materials that are desperately needed for my classroom to help my students during and after school. Unfortunately, these supplies are not provided by the district, therefore any help is greatly appreciated! Thank you in advance for your contribution!
