So you're thinking, why does he need a heavy bag and stand for his classroom? Far too long we've looked at kids labeled with some behavior issue as a plague. But that does a disservice to the kids. I want to provide for them an outline upon which to use those same emotions they often times struggle with. The bag will not only serve as an outlet but will help instill discipline too. Beyond the impact in my classroom I want the bag to help outside the classroom as well. Often times students get upset with the teacher and it stays with them. I want to provide an environment in which they can reset and continue on with their day. Providing the heavy bag allows them to do that.
