My students are great. They are generally eager to learn, and eager to please. I teach at a Title 1 school and our percent of poverty generally runs between 80-85% each year. A lot of our students are living in less than suitable homes and family situations. School is the one place they know they can get the attention, support, and love that they deserve. Because of family situations and socio-economics, many of our students can be discipline problems and far too many have been diagnosed with ADD or ADHD. They can be quite an energetic group at times, which prompted me to look into alternative classroom seating.
