Using Storyworks magazine and the Classroom Plays Set will allow my students access to various types of literary text. The format in which the articles and plays are written will provide my students with broader knowledge of how writing is formatted differently based on the subject. The more one reads, the more one learns. I firmly believe that an engaged reader is an engaged learner. By offering my students these resources, they will have a variety of literary text from which they will learn the differences in a variety of text. I want my students to use the Classroom Plays set to experience a myth, fable, and fairy tale drama in written form. I also want them to read and enjoy the Storyworks magazine while learning to analyze and differentiate between non-fiction and fiction.
