"I will be on top of my game. I will stand out and not just fit in. I will be the greatest influence" are just a few of the words from the pledge that our young ladies recite everyday. We are a single gendered high school located in the poorest zip code in our metro area. Many of our students have been through more in their young lives than you could ever imagine, but they've persevered despite the hand that life has dealt them. Some of them will be the first in their families to graduate from high school. Many will be the first in their families to attend college. There is so much potential, but so few resources. In urban schools, a lack of accessibility to technology makes infusing it effectively to enhance instruction a huge challenge. In spite of it all, our girls have not let this stifle their dreams and aspirations. They want and deserve the world, and we are committed to giving them the tools that they need to achieve whatever their hearts' desire.
