I teach in a low income school with students who rarely leave the area that they grow up in. I hope to be able to provide my students with a background in graphic design so that they can either find and accept a graphic job in the area or have enough skills to be able to leave the immediate area and seek a job outside to area, possibly at a company like Disney, which is only a hour away. The more technology that they can experience and use, the better off they will be when searching for a job. My class is currently running on no budget with students sharing computers. A Wacom tablet is a small thing that I can try to give some of them the ability to try out and use.
