Our classroom is made up of 24 energetic third graders. We bring over 5 different home languages into our classroom and come from many diverse backgrounds. Our school is a place built on cooperation, assertiveness, responsibility, empathy, and self control. Each and every day, students are working towards fulfilling these social expectations along with our academic ones. They LOVE to move- often taking dance breaks to wake their brains up or adding actions to our objectives to help them remember what we are learning! They are also very curious! They are excellent at coming up with questions that are sparked from new math discoveries, new ideas gleaned from their just right reading book, or sparked through their research for their writing. They totally relate to content that is meaningful to their everyday life, so technology is super critical in helping them discover the world around them- both locally and globally.

About my class
