I have the privilege to work in a team of three teachers with 75 Kindergarten through second graders in our three rooms. We do a lot of enrichment activities in team groups of multi-aged students. Each team comprises of a Captain, usually a 2nd grader and 4 other members. They include a mixture of all three grade levels. I have used Donors Choose for a few projects. One for science materials, one to receive a couple of iPads for my classroom, and the last one to bring the world a little closer as we use our jeweler's loupes. Our kids cheer when we go to the technology lab. Technology is fun and can make writing fun and a success for all our students. We have the older students to help encourage the younger ones as they teach each other using computers and the iPads. It is an amazing site to watch the caring, cooperative learning that they are all involved in.
