My students love to read. They do not get a grade, they do not get class credit, they are reading for the sheer joy of it. They like to discuss literature for fun. The students select the books we read and it is primarily a student-run organization. I just keep chaos at bay. This high school has some of the poorest of the poor in our city and the wealthiest of the wealthy. I would like to help close that gap by having books for every member, no matter their family's income.
