Although it is summer now, I know most of my students. I will be moving up a grade and have some that are returning to my class. These returning students have read all our class library books. Also, I have supervised the other students during various school activities. Some students share housing with multiple families, others live in apartments, and most qualify for free or reduced lunch. Our school serves preschool students up to sixth grade students. I have gotten to know not only the students, but siblings, cousins, and their extended family. Unfortunately many of the students don't have books, or someone to read to them at home.
