JP Powell Middle School and Five Points Elementary are two very small schools in the heart of the east-central part of Alabama. Our students are bright and hardworking. They love technology, sports, and music. Both schools are in working class areas where students are expected to excel in their schoolwork. Parents expect their children to gain skills in elementary and middle school that will prepare them to go to college or technical school. I have been tasked with the job of making higher education happen for students and parents. And it is in this task that I need your help. The projects that I request on this site are for advancing the skills and building the confidence of young people for the purpose of becoming productive people. Please help me in this opportunity. Our students may live in a remote area, but they are well-connected and ready to learn.
