Because most children these days are comfortable using an iPad, they can use this device with ease while allowing them to concentrate on the content of the app and learn the information. There are apps for practicing letter formation, others for learning letters and sight words, and more still for reading stories aloud. Excellent apps exist for counting and learning numbers. Some kinder kids need to develop memory skills and can play games that address that need. Being able to work independently is a goal for kinder students, and using an iPad taps into their prior knowledge so they use more time on content than learning how to play the game.
