My students are.......ready. They are ready to learn, question, explore, experiment, share. They are ready to begin their journeys as life long learners. They are ready to listen and to be listened to. They are ready to feel safe and understood. They are ready to know and to wonder. Each day they enter our classroom, they are ready for me to give them all that I can. They come from a variety of socioeconomic and cultural backgrounds. Some come from middle class homes, and some come from families that struggle. My students have come from varied circumstances and cultural backgrounds. They speak different languages, and some require specialized instruction to meet their needs. They come to our neighborhood school each day, with their similarities and differences, and come together to create a school and classroom community. I am proud to be part of this community. My students are amazing and have already shown such wonderful growth. I want to help them continue to do so.
