Sequoia Elementary is located in the heart of Oakland, California. Sequoia Elementary is a title 1 school serving 426 students. Unique to our school is that classes are thoughtfully balanced in terms of gender, ethnicity, and academic achievement. We present a curriculum that addresses different levels of linguistic and cultural orientations within each classroom. We provide a powerful education to all students, enabling them to become effective, contributing citizens in our democratic society. Our students have hope, desire, and dreams for their lives.
