My students are age 8-14. I teach in a life skills classroom that focuses on academics and functional skills. We have a class of unique individuals that are fun and spunky. They like to be independent and we encourage this everyday. While we are able to understand their requests in the classroom, others in the community that do not know them, do not always understand what is being asked.
