The picture of my students is one of great diversity. We are a 1500 student high school in California that is more than 90 percent non white. We are 35 percent Hispanic, 28 percent African American and 22 percent Asian. We are officially 100 percent free and reduced lunch. We are also one of the schools ranked 10 out of 10 for our state testing results. We were honored for the work we did last year with a Civics award for the regional summer camp we put on for our feeder elementary school. We are a school of leaders, a school of the world, and a school others can follow in to the modern age. We are a school that beats the odds every day and will continue to beat the odds every day.
