This year, I have been given the opportunity to work with the Extended Foreign Language (EFL) Program. These students spend the entire day tackling lessons in both English and in Spanish. It is important to me that they be given several different avenues in which to explore these lessons, and that they be given several different opportunities to learn. All students learn in different ways, and my goal is for them to simply understand and retain the information given. I find that, when technology is involved, my students excel in leaps and bounds. They take a more active interest in the lessons, and what we are doing in the class. I take time to work with them on the smart board and send them to work in centers, along with working with them at their seats. I feel that a Laptop center would really send them in the right direction for their education. They will have the opportunity to learn how to work independently while reaching their educational goals.
