My students need to strengthen their visual discrimination skills as well as their fine motor skills. They need activities that they will enjoy during independent work time as well as leisure time. They also should be engaged in tasks that could feasibly prepare them for work. With the right materials they can work on these skills and have fun. The items on this list are multi-functional and can help them meet their Individualized Education Plan goals. Many of the students need a lot of sensory input in order to keep them focused and I think that these items can assist them in that regard.
