I am a Special Education Teacher with a class called ACE. ACE stands for Academic Career/Consumer Eduction. I personally wrote the middle school (grades 6-7-8)curriculum for this multiple disabilities population. The goal of this program is to bring students back into their neighborhood schools and educate them with a curriculum that would expose them, regardless of their cognitive potential, to the skills needed to become productive members at home, school and in the community. Each student's needs and abilities are addressed on an individual basis. Many activities are hands-on, including our cooking curriculum.
