I remember my "speech teacher" like it was yesterday...instead of 43 years ago. Ms. P. was fabulous! I loved how she made me feel so important during each session. My group had various needs....articulation, receptive language, speech-fluency, and expressive language...she loved us equally. Ms. P. always encouraged her kiddos and told us often how much she loved us. I couldn't wait until our next session! Who could have guessed that twenty years later I would be training a speech-language pathologist (SLP)?! I have been working with precious students for nineteen years. Each child brings lovely uniqueness to each session. Every day I think about Ms. P. and how she made me feel. My goal is for every student to leave my room a little more knowledgeable than the day before, and with an abundance of love from Ms. King.
