"Beating the odds" is the best way to capture my students: Kids that are motivated to succeed even with many factors going against them. They have come to our new school, a College Board school focused on preparing our students to go to college--because they know education is the key to their future. Most of my students will be the first to graduate from high school much less attend college. They believe this school will prepare them for a successful future, and I am trying to make sure that happens by getting them the necessary tools in my classroom.
