I serve at a public school in urban Wisconsin where, this past year, 100% of my scholars were African-American and qualified for free lunch. My scholars are full of energy but the energy fades quickly when they have to read a text that they would describe as boring or irrelevant. My scholars want to learn and have tremendously ambitious dreams. I want each of them to be fully equipped so that they may achieve their personal goals in life.

About my class
