Students need to learn more about the world they live in and become informed about current events. As they engage reading the Scholastic News Magazines, students will be able to make meaningful connections and have conversations with their peers about events happening around the world. Scholastic News features informational texts with standards-based lesson plans and online features, such as Spanish translations, to support the English Language learners in my classroom. Students will read articles from Scholastic News and collaborate with their peers to have meaningful conversations to complete differentiated activities that are standards-based and relate to topics covered in our ELA curriculum.

About my class
