My students vary in ages (from 5-9) and learning disabilities, from auditory processing to autism. Most are English Language Learners. Our school is a K-5 title 1 school in an inner-city neighborhood. They generally are a year to three years behind in academics. They mainstream for about 45 minutes for ELD and content area subjects with their same-aged peers so they are highly motivated to have the same skill set.
