I have a classroom of 28 third grade students with a wide range of levels and needs. The school is in a high poverty area with many students qualifying for free and reduced lunch. Last year, our principal managed to buy one ipad for each teacher to use in his or her classroom, and we got a glimpse of how technology can increase student engagement and give them more opportunities to explore and learn. Now we're hoping to acquire more ipads to use specifically for a science and mathematics program. Our students deserve the chance to learn more about technology and how it may impact their futures in a positive way.

About my class
