We are a large Kindergarten class with 30 students in an urban community. The school is on the smaller scale. Many of my students come from low-economic status and don't have the resources or opportunities at home to explore nature and living organisms around them, especially since we live in a large city. My students are excited about this upcoming unit and as a teacher who has goats and chickens, I also can't wait to start this unit!
