My class of EAP students struggle with both reading and writing and are taking a second English class to support those skills. For reluctant readers, engagement is everything, so reading a high-interest novel was exciting for them, and allowed for some great discussion and learning. Feeling successful during our reading of The Hunger Games was new for many of my students, and I want to keep that momentum going.
