I am an Instructional Leader for Emerging Schools in Lafayette Parish. Part of my job is supporting instruction in our struggling schools. The students from these schools live in high poverty areas and are among the highest risk for dropping out of school. They often come to school hungry, tired, and in dirty and torn clothing. The care and attention they get in our schools can often be the only positive interaction they receive. It is these hurdles we struggle to overcome daily, with the hope that the love and care we provide will be the difference that inspires our students to succeed.

About my class
