Our school is located an 87.2 percent poverty index community. We have a large number of students who do not have access to technology in their home and as a school we are extremely limited in our funding. We have title one funds; however, these are extremely limited and therefore cannot be used in the history and science classrooms. Therefore, students are limited in what we can offer them in history and science. Our students are eager to move beyond their current economic situation. They want to success; however, we must find means and methods of allowing them to succeed. Our students are the most important people we have. Our faculty and staff are dedicated to providing an opportunity for these students to spread their wings and become what they can truly be. They should not and cannot be allowed to become simply a statistic. They should be given every opportunity at every level to succeed.
